Buffalo Pass in the northern Chuskas between Red Valley and Lukachukai

Located in the Chuska Mountains, the Chuska Challenge is the Navajo Nation’s premier mountain bike event of the year. Saturday’s Chuska Challenge Tour includes 35-mile and 20-mile noncompetitive options, offering riders some awesome riding in some of the most beautiful country in Dine’ Bikeyah. The Mountain Bike Race is a 15-mile race, with two 7.5 mile laps. On Sunday, there will be a 55-mile and 35-mile Arizona Endurance Series event on the Cove Classic route. The Mountain Bike Race includes overall, youth and master’s awards. There will be a Skills Course set up for riders to play on throughout the weekend, and there will be a Youth Race on Saturday late afternoon.
Registration includes performance t-shirts, race poster, course support, all meals Saturday, and Sunday breakfast and live music! Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights at the Chuska camp, which is located just one mile east of Buffalo Pass.
